Call for Session Proposal
Session proposals for WLF5 for full color book sessions and CD proceedings sessions are invited.
For Full color book sessions
The outline of Theme 1 to Theme 5 has been decided
However, each session within 5 themes is not yet decided. All active participant to WLF5 are invited to propose a session to the coordinator of each theme.
For CD proceedings sessions
A variety of Discussion sessions contributing to promote discussion for landslide risk reduction and landslide related science and technology will be organized.
- Policy makers and disaster reduction administrators in national government, municipalities are invited to orally present their case studies for disaster risk reduction including landslides. Those PPT presentation will be published in CD proceedings. This session is organized by the proposer and ICL secretariat.
- Consulting engineers and practitioners involving in regional disaster risk reduction are invited to present their experiences in discussion sessions by preparing the extended abstracts (around 2 pages including photo/figures). This session is organized by the proposer and ICL secretariat.
- Any thematic/regional/national groups of ICL, WLF5 supporting programmes, initiatives and organizations, and WLF5 sponsors are invited to propose their sessions in the proposed style as one of discussion sessions. This session is organized by the proposing groups and entities.
Note: Rooms are allocated for speakers of full color book sessions and CD proceedings sessions on 4-6 November 2020. When the number of rooms will be not enough, ICL may prepare additional rooms. Please propose sessions before 1 November 2017. Later this date, it is difficult to increase the number of parallel session rooms.

Earlier proposal is very much appreciated for the better planning and implementation of the fifth World Landslide Forum together with Kyoto 2020 Commitment of the World Landslide Community. The number of rooks cannot be increased after 1 November 2017. When rooms are not available, the number of registered participants to the sessions, the proposed sessions may be combined or cancelled.
Note: The rental fee for large rooms or long sessions may be charged.
